3 Easy Ways to Cozy Your House for Fall

Fall is a popular time of year. Many people enjoy the cool weather, quiet, cozy evenings, and ongoing hosting. I'm not overtly into Fall decor like pumpkins and gourds, but I am finding exciting ways to create a warm space for guests in my new home.

3 Easy Ways to Cozy Your House for Fall

Easy Fall Decorating Ideas for Your Home

I am very connected to the seasons and slowly started to bring Fall decor into my home in mid-September. I prefer to keep it simple and instead add easy Fall decor ideas throughout my living spaces.

1. Change your bedding.

Cozying up your personal space is the fastest way to filling yourself personally. The best place to start is your bedroom and the colors, textures, and patterns present. Consider investing in Fall/Winter sheets in autumnal colors like rust or ochre and cozier textures like throws and pillows.

2. Dim the light and stock up on candles.

I used to take lighting for granted. It never occurred to me that switching out a light bulb for something a bit warmer could dramatically transform a room. Think creatively and switch to warm light bulbs in your floor lamps or tables lamps. Alternatively, you can also opt in to remove a few bulbs from the overhead light for controlled dimming.

With warmer bulbs, candles sing cozy. Consider candles for your living room, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and home office.

3. Swap out your artwork.

Original artwork can be an investment; however, fine art giclee prints are an excellent way to add art to your walls on a budget. Consider purchasing a set of prints for the Spring/Summer season and a new set of prints for the Fall/Winter season. Most art prints are sold in standard frame sizes, making it easy to switch out a gallery wall or standalone art around your home.

This November, I will be releasing fine art giclee prints of my original landscape artwork. I am excited to share high-quality art prints that look and feel precisely like the originals—textures and all. If you'd like to know when the landscape art print shop opens, enter your email below. I'll send you free landscape mobile wallpapers in the meantime!
