Hi, I’m Lauren, a landscape artist, and creative mentor.

As a creative, I’ve navigated the ups and downs of creative practice. I’ve felt self-doubt, faced limiting beliefs, and run into burnout. After spending years pushing through many pain points, I deliberately decided to make a shift and turn inward — to focus on growing and forming my artwork and rooting in a more intentional creative practice — and as a result, I welcomed home a thriving practice.

For the past 4 years, I’ve mentored other artists and have been invited to lead workshops about my process. It wasn’t until 2021 that I realized this topic - artistic development - was my zone of genius. I’ve reflected quite a lot on why, and I’ve come to learn it’s because I’ve always felt more aligned - most assured of myself - when I could confidently say I was doing my best work. And I think this is reflected in how I share my artwork, too. Because if I didn’t have deep meaning, purpose, and definition, I couldn’t possibly expect others to resonate with it.

Recent Stories

“There were many ideas that were developing within me, but I couldn’t figure out a structure. I had various pieces of paper along with scattered books, projects I was creating, and online courses I had been taking. I had begun to feel more stretched and overwhelmed with what I was really trying to accomplish. The Practicing Artist Program helped to give me a really solid foundation adding structure where it had been missing in my creative practice.”

“Lauren, this is SO GOOD!! It has reminded me of core elements in my creative foundation that are solid and reliable but had gotten clouded over during the pandemic disconnection. I feel an energy that I have been missing for too long.”

“I’m doing the work of investing in my foundation and, in doing so, recognizing how all I have created has continued to align with core elements. This will make the next steps much smoother and more satisfying, not to mention clearing away much of the self-doubt. I feel so energized!”
