Artist Mentorships
unlimited 1:1 support and guidance
What is artist mentorship?
There is often a gap between where you are and where you want to be. Seeking a mentor in art is your opportunity to talk through your greatest dreams, your biggest pain points, and everything in between, as it relates to your creative practice, and have unlimited support and guidance in working through them.
In this mentorship program, you and I will deeply investigate your creative practice to uncover the obstacles, support your ambitions, and employ practical ways to work towards your goals throughout the year, all while staying present and responding to your daily needs.
How it works:
01 Mentorship calls
Each quarter, we will connect for a 60-minute call. This is your space to dive deep into your vision and ambitions, work through challenges, review your current projects, and make plans for the months ahead. I will support you with individualized guidance, questions, exercises, and tasks to help you make intentional progress. Calls will be scheduled in January, April, July, and October.
02 unlimited messaging
Anytime you need support or guidance, I am just a message away. We will stay in close touch on Voxer, an app where we can send text, audio, and picture messages (email is also available as an alternative option). This allows space to discuss day-to-day experiences and be of service to you between quarterly calls—this is where transformation truly happens. Listen in on a voxer session →
03 password protected portal
Your portal will provide you access to session recordings and the ideas, tasks, and action steps mapped out during our calls.
04 plus lifetime access to the Practicing Artist
Find lifetime support and guidance through the Practicing Artist program.

Have wanted to work with me and feel it’s time!
Hi, I’m Lauren, a process artist and creative mentor.
One of my greatest skills is the ability to ask questions and go into deep inquiry. My mentees have found this to be of great benefit as they share their ideas and challenges, and I reflect on questions to consider back to them.
I’ve practiced art for the past 12 years - 4 of which were during my BFA studies. For some of those years, I did this alongside a full-time job, and for others, I was a full-time artist. The entire time, I’ve held my creative practice with reverence. I developed my own style, refined my voice, and rooted in my values. To date, I’ve mentored dozens of artists helping them find honesty in their creative practice.

together we can…
dive deep into your needs—which might be a combination of these or something entirely different—to create an individualized mentorship experience.
Set a foundation for your creative practice so you can find honesty in your work
Remove the excess from your creative practice and sort through what remains
Uncover a clear and well-defined artistic style—including concepts, themes, and mediums
Review your priorities and set the right schedules, consistency, and tasks appropriate for each personal season
Discuss blocks, comparison, self-doubt, failure, and rejection (I’m here for it all)
Determine the best representation (galleries, markets, online, etc.) for your artwork (and other offerings you may have) and create a plan to generate opportunities
Enlist the right marketing channels that you feel confident with and face the least resistance to
You may not know where you need support, yet. I’m here to be an outside perspective to help you find your values and take the next step forward.

I believe you should invest in yourself when the possibility of it excites and inspires you more than it frightens and overwhelms you. Everyone’s circumstances are different, and only you will know when you are ready for 1:1 support. Whenever the time is right, I will be delighted to have the opportunity to support your creative practice.

Once we complete our final call, I will continue to check in and you will have unlimited messaging through December. You’ll also keep access to your portal one year after our last session. You can return to your notes and recordings as you need.
More importantly, I will continue to support your creative endeavors! If anything pops up and you need a little guidance and support, I will always be a message away.

You can expect an email from me 48-72 hours after your inquiry is submitted. Depending on how many spots are available, we may begin working together soon after. If spots are fully booked, I begin reviewing and booking inquiries in October to begin working together the following year.

This is one of my favorite questions—and it’s often asked by a current mentee who is sharing a pain point they’re currently experiencing.
My answer is always yes. I wouldn’t offer mentorships if I didn’t find so much life in them. Connecting 1:1 with other artists, sharing experiences, and guiding a way forward brings me a joy I don’t find in many other areas of life. This will be my forth year offering mentorships and I hope there are so many more years to come.
