The Collection—Desert Grasses

Desert Grasses is a collection of original landscape drawings inspired by an assortment of images I captured in the California Desert. My natural tendency to sort through my thoughts is with a pencil and paper. Collecting marks, making gestures, and capturing textures. In this body of work, I blissfully explored the desert grasses. One stroke, one blade at a time. And slowly these pictures came to life. They embody nuance and movement, occurrence and stillness.
