Collection Preview: Desert Grasses, Original Landscape Art for Your Home

In a few swift movements, my hand started capturing desert grasses. The motion felt natural. I entered flow as I simultaneously captured what most see as a barren landscape.

There is so much flora that thrives in the desert landscapes. Each one responds to harsh seasons in different ways. Some dying, some thriving. They are earth-toned - and full of all sorts of desert textures.

This drawing collection opened my eyes to a subject matter I honestly fell deeply for. Grasses have always fascinated me. In many ways, they capture the expressions of the landscape - my favorite is when they get caught up in the wind and make rippling patterns across the horizon. They reveal secrets of life moving below. Then there is the sun and the many different ways it makes these grasses glow.

Desert Grasses is a collection of original landscape drawings inspired by an assortment of images I captured in the California Desert.
