There are a couple things I use daily that help me find rest + relaxation. Some of the tools are simple, others may involve more time. Taking moments each day to rest not only helps me find harmony between the many personas I take on daily, but also find more inspiration and creativity.

5 Rest + Relaxation Tools

1. Journal

Taking a few moments each day, or even spending some time, with pen and paper can bring about so much clarity, perspective, and efficiency. It’s a great way maintain a clear mind and be entertained by the slow movement of translating your thoughts into written expression. I use both pen and paper, the computer, or journaling apps to find some rest + relaxation.

2. Feedly

Feedly is one of our favorite apps. It’s a news aggregator app that allows you to place all your favorite blogs, entertainment, and news all in one place. The user interface is so simple and easy to use. I love taking a few moments daily to find a place to settle in, read some posts or articles, and find rest + relaxation.

3. Meditation

My morning would not be complete without meditation. It helps me maintain a clear mind, set priorities, and find productivity each day. Taking time to simply let myself breathe is one of the best ways to find rest + relaxation.

4. Oil Diffuser

Just as finding rest in the morning is important, making time for it at night is equally as important. As I begin to settle in and go through my beauty routine, I love starting up my oil diffuser to create a restful environment. Currently, I am loving rosemary essential oil.

5. Hydration

Hydrating myself is important to keep from feeling sluggish, irritated, and unproductive. It’s so so important and is often an overlooked tool. To help me settle in and not feel restless, I need to remember to drink water throughout the entire day.
